Wow and other things.

I kept putting off posting, as you can imagine, no posting equals bad times both diet & exercise wise. I haven't gained any weight, but it is stagnant at 210ish. I decided that I indeed needed to post my journal here to keep me more on track.

It is cold (arctic) here in indiana so no more walking for me, brrrrr. I got the wiifit plus game a couple months ago and enjoy their new custom workouts, and the new games it came with.

I have been playing world of warcraft. I mostly just putter around and craft, but it kills a few hours a day. Winter can be kinda depressing, especially when your windows look like this:

We also wrapped our water heater in reflectix to try to cut back on our electric bill, it worked great. I miss being able to look out back. It's kinda like living inside a jiffy pop bag. lol

I am just getting over the christmas plague, and haven't got in any exercise today.

We went to the store / blockbuster to get stuff for new year's eve's binge, I mean festivities. We grabbed some Jim beam/red stag, 12 pk of beer, 12 pk of smirnoff ice *wish they'd of had the light*, and the chippies I snacked on today.

Had the free breakfast at the hotel. The options were a little iffy, but I tend to go what the hay.. too much and this was no exception.

I had half a croissant (split with boo) and half of an english muffin. I took the tops of both so it was less than half lol. cream cheese smeared on both. Couple bites of whole grain cheerios. Decided this whole lack of protein was a problem.
Went home made



I felt way better after that!

For lunch I had:

Tomato & cucumber salad (with a T ken's italian dressing) 1
1 chicken sausage (al fresco brand, sundried tomato) 4

Hopefully I came off even with the eating & the added exercise/swimming. Time to get my butt back on track.

I doubled the filling recipe & only made a regular ammt of the sauce. I used 20 corn tortillas, and came up with 7.5 per two.

I had leftovers for dinner, and some kettle brand chips (s&P) for 4. Watched a movie and had some 94%FF popcorn for 2.

Ugh, I can't seem to keep it in the right gear!


So I started the day off ok (need to goto grocery and get some things but ok otherwise).

Here's brekky:

I went for a walk after hitting a garage sale at a neighbors house (they were icy, guess I AM as horrible as I feel!). Anyhoo paid 5$ for a silly toy my neice wanted, she was thrilled! go her =)

We did a 30ish min walk ending in a 2 min or so jog (raced her to the door!), in which she overtook me in the final moment! lol

Ended up ordering papajohns.com (i strangly lost my camera for that meal ??!?) lol.
Had 4 pieces of spinach alfredo pizza but.. have many wpa left for the week so I might be ok with the AP I've earned walking!

Went for a little walk with sis to work off some take out calories.. the worst kind of course!

Neice left with her father, kinda sad, keepin the silly toy here for her to play with when she visits... which is every few days since her mom is here lol

Ok so after brekky, I got the nike thing to work on the page. I then went for a walk, go me!

That squash just keeps giving, I have been eating the squash and tomatoes for the last few days. One of my neighbors had a bin in front of their house with free squash in it. That was a great walk! I did feel a lil silly carrying it for the rest of the walk tho! lol

A little boring.. definitely wish I had taken the pic on something a different color! lol

This is a chocolate chip pumpkin cookie for 1

I made up a batch awhile ago and then froze what was left and have them one at a time once in awhile.

I like them well enough to eat one, but not well enough to eat them all. This endears them to me a great deal lol.


Well that's my day of foods.

I am sorta half on the wagon.

I have being doing pretty horrible on my points lately. My sis is still here, and that's added a bit more stress to my day to day stuff. She's great, but she still smokes. I quit Oct.2nd and the smell is driving me to distraction lol. They are all over the place (or perhaps since I'm an addict it just feels that way?), and I am going sorta bonkers from it!

Here in about 10 days her online romeo is showing up to take her to texas, she's super 'cited, but it just stresses me out. Luckily my bday is the day after he arrives, maybe that will distract me from it lol. I decided that for my birthday this year I'd like to swim (that's right! in all my fleshy glory), so yesterday I went to the fashion bug and tried on several swimmy suits. I have an uneven body so it was hard to find one (bottom heavy), but finally found one that had an adjustable top! I am going to stay the night at a hotel in town and use their pool (hey I didn't say I'd strutt it at the public pool hehe).

I have however been trying to make more of an effort to walk and burn some of those extra calories. I have been trying to get my nike mini thing on here, but it isn't quite taking. Will work more on that after I get this posted. So far, I have been getting in about 2 hrs of walking a week, which I know isn't as much as I could do. Definitely will be upping that! I think I am going to try to take pics of my food to see if that helps with what I eat. I wanted to before but I have an older digi cam and it actually talks when you turn it on lol. It is far from discreet!

I also found someone in my town on sparkpeople who posted asking for a workout buddy. It is WAY out of my comfort zone but I shot her an email and asked if she'd like to do something together. Go the new "trying" Nikki! I haven't actually acquired a friend since moving here two years ago. THAT is how much of a people person I am. lol. It would seem hiding in your house and eating is NOT good for making friends. /sigh

Traffic can be crazy!

So.. I have been here a couple weeks now. I am still working my way through the list of things to do. Upkeep is alot more than our tiny old apartment was. I don't so much mind, but today I had a sprise!!! visit from my mother. I am in a tank and shorts, covered in sweat, scrubbing things to get ready for a scheduled visit from my boo's pa. She did call about 5 minutes before arriving, so I raced upstairs to put on clothes and wash off.
I think maybe my mustache was still sweaty tho lols. She wasn't here too long, I would've liked a little more notice is all.
Then we went to lunch with my hubbys dad. That was nice and we hit the goodwill, because this old house needs some odds n ends ;) Found an old couch to toss downstairs, JACKPOT!
My sis moved into the guest room today, and knowing I wasn't prepared for her.. she is a brave soul indeed. She is camping out on the couch I just got as I type. Very fortuitous.
I set out the trash but no one took it up, I am not sure what that means but phone calls will be made to inquire... No one likes a stinky garage ;) Whew, what a day!

It's good to be back.

It was very challenging not waking up to the insightful and inspirational words of all the blogs I read. I am very thankful to be back online and able to delve back into such a great weight watchers blogging community.
I am no where near settled in yet, but I am starting to feel at home. I have even made up a huge batch of chickpea spinach almond burgers, and black bean burgers (found them thru Angie's blog, I think). Somehow cooking up a mess of food makes it feel more like home.
My stove is sorta on the fritz now that we finally got a friend to install it (had a different plug than the plug in). When the cooktop light is on, the oven light flashes. IDK what it's problem is now lol.

I am not a happy camper

Welp, I have done a piss poor job of keeping this up. Most likely, it's because that's also how well I am doing with my eating & exercise. I have had a Friday close date each week for as long as I can remember (since the second Friday in April). GRRRR!
Today the bank called and informed us the rate we had locked in had expired, and now its .5 higher to boot. I am full of cranky now =(
I have been in semi packed mode forever now. If i run out of a staple item, I don't replace it because I am supposed to be moving this week. lol.
Needless to say, I am not a happy camper.

I am going to post my mess of a food log so that I can look at it later this week (when it doesn't close, again).

It's probably worth noting that some things I will be eating over and over. The monkey bread for instance is six servings and boo will have nothing to do with it because splenda is involved. lol.
Also, asparagus was on sale for 1.49lb or something crazy so I got several bunches only to have boo decide to fast for a couple days...

Monday:
B: 3 egg whites, 1/4c ff cheddar, wwcc roll
L: Chickpea Spinach Burger, 2%Kraft singleton, 1/2c Edamame, t. oil, T hummus, 1/2c Cuke
D: 2 oz Talapia, 1/2c steamed broccoli, Basmati rice, t oil
S1: Blast o butter popcorn (were out of the 1pt popcorn)
S2: Arnold thin, Salmon patty (from sam's club), T kraft mayo, rf, made with olive oil
lol, guess I should call that D2 instead of S2 :P
Walk: 1hr. 40min.

Tuesday:
B: breakfast sandwhich (egg beaters, slice of canadian bacon, 1/2 slice of cheese), 3T cream of wheat
L: Tortilla, 1/4c Feta cheese, Veggies (roasted red peppers, port. mushrooms, lil spinach), lays wavy chips (only ate half)
D: 3oz Turkey Breast, 1/2c edamame, 1/2c pepper&onion mix, Brown rice, t oil
S1: Chunk light tuna, wwcc roll, T kraft rf mayo
S2: Two Philly Swirl Orange pops (14 calories each)
S3: 1pt bread, T icbinb light, T sf grape jelly
Apparently, I was a bottomless pit this day =/

D: Calif. kitchen pizza 1/2, Quaker rice crisps (carmel drizzle), red wine <--this is where it went south S2: Pep. farm garlic toast S3: more pizza

Friday:
B: wwcc roll sammy
S1: 1/2c ff cc, 1/2c frozen mixed fruit
S2: Spinach & cream cheese dip, Wheat thins fiber select
L: 4 oz bottom round roast, ear of corn, 6 oz red potato
D: Pizza (1/4th), 1/2c edamame, 1 smartfood popcorn cluster
Walk: nadda

Saturday:
B: 3 egg whites, 2c raw spinach, 1/3c grap tomatoes, 2T part skim mozz, t oil
L: 1c cabbage, 1/2c pepper onion mix, 1/4c carrots,1/4c ff cheddar, oil, tortillas
S: Spinach cream cheese with wheat thin fiber selects
D: Leftover cabbage and carrots on a 5 oz red potato, 1/2 ear of corn, Strawberry lightful smoothie
S2: wwcc roll breakfast sammy
Walk: nadda (it is sooo hot and i am sooo lazy -.-)
